PULSE Miami, Dana Hemenway & Paul Wackers

December 1st - 4th, 2016

Dana Hemenway & Paul Wackers
Pulse Miami, Booth S-116

Eleanor Harwood Gallery is exhibiting at Pulse Miami in the CONVERSATIONS program. CONVERSATIONS provides a platform for galleries to explore new visual and conceptual dialogues between two artists they represent.

EHG will be exhibiting work by Dana Hemenway and Paul Wackers. Both artists share an ordered approach to tight edges and line work, albeit in drastically different mediums and varying methods. The “grid” features prominently in both artists work as does various design influences. Additionally, both artists often refer to interiors spaces in theirs works. Wackers by painting various interior spaces, and Hemenway by creating objects that can be read as “lighting” for a home or as she more eloquently writes; “explores the agency of lighting further by considering how by providing a function, these sculptures exist between the classifications of art and design, and where they might become analogous to recognizable forms of lighting––wall sconces, chandeliers, side table lamps, and built-in or recessed lighting.”
