Emily Prince – Familiar

8 September - 6 October 2006

Prince has drawn beautifully rendered images of grouped objects in her home.  Each drawing is all of the objects of a like kind, for example “All of the Hats”

Prince’s drawings speak to her sensitivity to her surroundings and her desire to expand her understanding of the environment around her.

As an artist her interest lies in grouping and mapping.  See her gorgeous and sad drawings of each American soldier killed so far in the Iraq war.  Her portraits reflect her desire to learn about the situation through drawing.

EMILY HAS JUST BEEN INCLUDED IN THE VENICE BIENNALE – read about the selections on ART FORUM
